That's all for today!
Those of you who've been following me here in the newsletter and on Facebook know that at the beginning of May I embarked on a lifestyle change: I was determined to eat healthier, pay attention to my calories, and exercise on a regular basis. I'm happy to say that I've stuck with it and am seeing incredible results!
My original goal was to lose 20 pounds, and I've got just 1 more (well, this morning I had 0.9 more) to go. And the best part is that not only has it not been a hardship, it's been fun! Inventing delicious and healthy veggie lunches has been one of my favorite things. The other cool thing has been exploring the multitude of walking trails in the woods right in my own back yard. I don't have many regrets in my life, but every time I'm walking in our beautiful wilderness I want to smack myself for having lived here for over 26 years and spending so little time out there in years past. We are so lucky to live where we do! Every day I'm finding new trails and ways of getting to different areas of town. It really is beautiful and peaceful.
In other news, my son Tim is home from his Chicago brain research adventure and will be back to Brown this weekend to embark on his junior year. And, as usual, he'll miss his sister Corie visiting by just a few days because she'll be in town for one day next week. Oh well, one day they'll be in the same city at the same time -- although it may not be until her wedding in April!
Time for my walk...catch you in 2 weeks! -- Jill
