Tables and SEO

Hi Jill,

I have been a regular reader of your newsletter for some time.  I hope you
have time to give me your thoughts on the following comment that I received
from a website designer:

"Tables add unnecessary code to the page, which makes it load slower than it
has to, and it makes it harder for search engine spiders to read."

Hi Roger,

That's the most ridiculous thing I've read today!

Tables have never been, and will never be a problem for search engines.

We actually have a long forum thread on "The Impact of Tables on SEO."
