Are there any French, German or Spanish tools equivalent to Overture's term suggestion tool or Wordtracker. I know that if I am looking for a term like réseau, I can use Overture or WordTracker, but a term like vérification alos has an English meaning, and the English results drown out the French ones.
Any resources? |

Hi,
IBP 4 has a keyword generator function, which allows you to search in German, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch. It uses the espotting and overture databases. You can download a free trial version. here www.Axandra.com Ad word analyzer also has a german search function, though it doesn't always function that well. Hope that helps This post has been edited by Jill: Sep 30 2004, 11:17 PM |

This is a good question. Kinda undeveloped however. There are several resources that might help you out regarding your keyword research for foreign terms.
I frequently use this suggestion tool for UK terms, as well as those in Germany. Its one of the best I have found all in one place: www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ You can search based on location: United States, Austria, Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. You can also check out the following page suggested by Danny Sullivan at one time or another. Has listing of some good suggestion tools, seems to be a lot of second tier and meta engines however: www.dwoz.com/default.asp?Pr=123 And additionally, good ole Google country specific searches work pretty well to find out how terms are being used, and if anyone is potentially optimizing for them. You can also look at PPC ads, to see what keywords people are paying the most for and why.
