Hello...

I've decided to switch venders for my SiteMatch feed. In the intervening time, I'm totally out of the SiteMatch program as of yesterday.

Here's what I noticed today:

We rank on the first page of the SERP for one of our main keywords. This is an old Yahoo Index listing (starts w/ "offers black widgets..."). We've been bouncing in and out of this position for months.

Also, we are now ranking on the 1st page for another main keyword. This keyword we've never ranked well for in Y! or GOOG. The listings also starts w/ "offers black widgets...".

What are the dedupe rules for SiteMatch/Y!?

Anyone else see this?

Sounds like you should NOT get back into the SiteMatch program...

Is it all or nothing?

Maybe I could not submit our homepage - which is what's coming up. The unfortunate part... My vender can't answer these questions either.

Well the question is why do you feel you need to submit them and pay for them? Is it a very large, dynamic site that won't be spidered otherwise?

I'm always hesitant to pay for stuff I can get for free, not sure about you!

Williamsburg,

With SiteMatch, you're not required to submit your homepage. So, if you wanted, you could submit URLs that link to deep pages. It sounds like the results from the free crawl are doing well... congratulations!

We are starting a trial SiteMatch campaign today for a major hotel chain. I'll post our results after a week of data. I am very curious to see how the program effects Yahoo! rankings.

Craig, are you doing SiteMatch or trusted feed? I believe there's still a difference.

Sorry, I meant trusted feed. It's so confusing because the program is officially called: Site Match Xchange search marketing campaign. (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
