Googles reported backlinks are moving for me- mostly in a good direction (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And before anyone tells me its meaningless- I guessed, but I've never started a thread on SEM news before and couldn't help myself (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarrassed.gif)

My spyware software warned me that the Google Toolbar was being updated automatically this morning - immediately afterwards my BL changed.

Hi

Just a question: Did anyone notice a recent change in the PR's shown in the Google Directory? Thought I used to be at the bottom in my category, suddenly I find my site at the top, with higher PR than shown in the Toolbar. Anyone else?

Try checking out AllTheWeb's link: results. Unline Google, AllTheWeb doesn't filter the results of this command (and their index is comparable in size).

Also, you might want to double-check your exchanged links & make sure they are still there (and that they are not using any kind of funky JavaScript-based links, since those will not be crawled by our 8-legged friends...).

You might also want to set up a Digital Point (www.digitalpoint.com) backlink tracker account to make it easier to monitor your b-links (hint: it is a part of the Keyword Ranking tool).

HTH!

That was a good update, shows that some hard work is finally paying off. (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
