Seems very well laid out page. Yahoo bringing back directory tab.

I still think the yahoo site sucks. I hate portals and that's why I love Google. I like a nice, clean, simple interface. That's why I used to love HotBot before they became "portalized". Geeze I hate portals. If I want that portal crap, I'll visit msn or msnbc.

Ok, off my soapbox now (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Me neither. Interestingly enough, mine doesn't have a news tab like yours does, Qwerty!

Or is it customized?

I think it's too messy and cluttered, I cant stand. It's almost like their design team have decided to use up all the white-space they could.
Once you start searching and get past the cluttered page then it satrts to look a lot better.

I don't like the interface - too fussy - but then I think Google is too plain.

Not that I'm hard to please or anything

(I don't see a directory tab either )

Nope, the only thing customized for me at Yahoo is that I let it log me in automatically. I guess whatever this change is, they're rolling it out little by little, or it's just a test.

I like the new look compare to old look.

Search box with tabs has been moved to the top right below the yahoo logo. and search box has been made wide enough to put more than 50 character so user can see the whole search phrase.

I think the initial Yahoo page is too cluttered but the search results page is good, clean and simple - I like the fact they show 20 results compared to the 10 of Google (although you can change it in the preferences)

The Australian one used to have the tabs, but they ditched that for just plain text links, no background.

There's some good discussion here. We really encourage folks to tell us what you think. In fact, we've created a link for feedback, if you get a second.

We're streamlinging our search results to make it easier to find what you're looking for, including making the search results quicker to scan and easier to read.

Also, I think a few of you touch on this here, but you'll notice the Search Views feature above the Search box, which I think should help folks focus their results a little better.
