Hello all,

Just wanted to ask you a quick questions that may have been covered in this forum, however I couldn't locate it. How many clients (although I would add one website as a client for this example) do you think one SEO can sensibly manage considering all aspects of the job (Recommendation writing, competitor insight, link building, link contacting, content analysis, traffic conversion, SMO campaigns...)?

You can discuss sales and so forth, but I just wanted to know - in terms of your day to day running of things - how many URLs should you generally be responsible for that will allow you to do your job to the best of your abilities?

Here's my quick opinion. I don't particularly think that one person can do all the things you mention for a client as I can't imagine anyone having expertise in all those areas. For instance, most SEOs are not copywriters (or at least they shouldn't be!). And if you are a good copywriter, you may not have a good handle on the technical aspects of SEO.

That said, we find that one person can realistically handle anywhere between 4-7 clients depending upon what stage they're all in. And of course if you're doing just client work, you wouldn't be able to also be doing lead gen and sales and all that stuff. That 4-7 number would be if you're more of a project manager just dong client work.
