My vote is for too many pages too fast on a new domain.

That doesn't make any sense.
New domains will always have lots of new pages put up all at once! That's what they DO! |

Unless she means: too many new inbound links to a new domain.

I don't see as that being an issue either. Sometimes new domains gain a lot of attention through advertising or viral marketing.

I think that having 1,000's of links all with the same anchor text popping up overnight is a big resounding No No.

What about our more recent topic? Creating a fictitious story for linkbait. Although it worked, it should be considered a no-no.

What about our more recent topic? Creating a fictitious story for linkbait. Although it worked, it should be considered a no-no. I'd call that more of a marketing no-no, in general, rather than an SEO one. Biggest no-nos have traditionally been showing one thing to search engines and another to the users. This works less often these days, so it may not still be the biggest. But it's certainly one to be aware of so that it doesn't make a comeback! |

Biggest no-no... seowise?
I'd have to go with putting a link on your site to another site that has a super-bad rep in the search engines. |

Silly, silly people.
The biggest seo mistake is making and actually getting a meeting with Larry and Sergey, going to The 'plex for it, handing them your business card that contains your site address, then promptly slapping them both across the face and ranting at them going on and on and on about what horrible people they are and what a horrible company Google is until Security finally arrives 5 minutes later to drag you out for the police. Not only would you get arrested and prosecuted, but your site would not stand any chance of ever being found in Google again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif) Randy, I wish you had posted this last week. Now I may be in trouble. Oh well, at least there's still ask.com |

QUOTE handing them your business card that contains your site address, then promptly slapping them both across the face Yes sir, that would have to be the biggest no-no for sure (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whitehat.gif) |

Would that work as a Google Bowling method? They'll probably get wise to the strategy once you hand them the 9th business card so you may want to do them one at a time. |
