Yesterday I got excluded from Google's index of people allowed to visit their main campus in Mountain View...twice.

I went up there to film a "how to" video as part of a SEO video series we are doing. Walked right into 1600 Ampitheatre and into the inner courtyard before being approached by security. When told we couldn't be there unless we knew someone, I said "I know Matt Cutts". Well he guy didn't buy that one, so he escorted us off the property.

So then we drove off and parked in a different place and were going to set up a camera outside on the sidewalk when another Google security dude on a bike approached and said we could film from the sidewalk but could not park in Google's lot. Not very friendly!

Anyway here's a picture of me yesterday after being excluded from Google. Pray it doesn't happen to you!

Thats nothing...

I got kicked out of a corner shop for asking why there where 8 sausages in one frozen bag and 7 in the other!

"I dont wont trouble makers like you in here" said the owner.

"What about my sausages" said I.

"F***k Off, and dont come back" said the owner. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif)

Makes them Google guys seem quite tame.

Matt, are you going to try to sneak into Yahoo next? Maybe when you tell them how inconsiderate the goog folk were they'll welcome you with open arms.

If you've never been to Google, the employee perks are pretty amazing it seems. We saw a section of the parkng lot blocked off where you could park your car for the day and they would wash and vacuum it for you while you work. We also saw personal trainers, a mobile haircutting studio, not to mention the beach volleyball court in the forbiddent secret courtyard. Oh, and tons of limo buses...some bigwigs must have had something going on.

They have to do that Matt. Because True Googlers are expected to be completely devoted and willing to be at the 'Plex 24/7/365. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/giggle.gif)
