As my title suggests is there anywhere where we can find out what people are currently searching for e.g. a Monthly Top 10 (100) of Keywords or Top Phrases.

I would preferably prefer a UK Chart as I'm from Old Blighty (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup1.gif)

Thanks

You can subscribe at WordTracker to a monthly list of the top 500 search phrases. For the UK, I'm not sure. MSN.co.uk occasionally shows what people are searching for - and it's always EastEnders, Britney Spears, Man United, Justin Timberlake and whoever was caught doing someone they shouldn't by the News of the World that week. You could probably aggregate information from Overture and Espotting UK keyword tools, but it would take a little time and effort.

You wouldn't be actually thinking of trying to optimize for the top 10 keywords searched for on the net, would you? I would imagine it would be pretty darn difficult!

It's not UK. And since it's from Y!, the terms are probably skewed a bit toward "fun and shopping" type things, but the most comprehensive and informative of these lists is:
http://buzz.yahoo.com/

And it's daily, too.

<added> Hmm - seems there is a UK version:

Christina Aguilera was taking her pet dog Kazaa for a walk in order to check the Train Timetables . The Sun was pouring down on her as she walked past the Paris Hilton

David Beckham and his mate from EastEnders were talking, apparently Manchester United were playing a benefit game raising funds for the Chinese New Year charity, who were said to be The Guardian of Chinese tradition in the UK.

Madonna was supposed to have shown, but apparently she was concerned that her PlayStation 2 and her The Lord of the Rings 2 game would be stolen, as she knew how much Christina loved Orlando Bloom

Chelsea FC were also playing a charity game, but this time it was in aid of the Princess Diana memorial fund. Britney Spears and some of her friends were there, together with the guy who plays Harry Potter . The game was apparently sponsored by Mars .

Have you tried these?

They are not lists as such, but they do help with uk specific terms.
