WILLIAMSBURG, VA [April 18, 2006] – The Search Engine Marketing Association – North America (SMA-NA) is proud to announce the launch of its new website and logo at www.sma-na.org.

We look forward to its continued development.”

Lucid Crew, a media design firm based in Austin, Texas was responsible for the website and logo design.

Thank you Michael. It was a HUGE labor of love but we're very happy with the way it came out. Couple things still need tweaking but overall, it's up and running! (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

We're using TextPattern as our CMS, it's pretty cool and easy to use, heck even I can do it! (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Debra, I sent you and Ian a PM about a few things on the site that I thought needed tweaking, but it looks like neither of you has read it yet. I bet both of your mailboxes are full (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Hmm, I guess I should have read this thread before replying to the PM and forwarding the info... LOL

But feedback is good. I've never worked on any site that didn't need a tweak here and there, but we'd like to minimize them asap.

From what I understand, they already have a short list of candidates (who are members) that will contribute an optimization effort to the site. So it is forthcoming, not forgotten.

>Barely optimized

This is true - we haven't even begun optimization yet. What you see is an out-of the-box search friendly CMS, and that's pretty much it.

We are planning on "walking the walk" and setting out "best practice" techniques, then, once we have agreed on them, implement them (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The first and last quarter of the year is very busy for most SEO's, including us, but now that summer is here you should see a lot more changes and updates.

One thing I will guarantee - I'll be showing this thread to the rest of the exec at our meeting later (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
