Hi,
Welcome to HR. I think there are no quick techniques for getting good rankings. Patience is required here. If you are new to SEO you can read the Tips for Newbies here in the forum. Then browse around in all the sections of forum to get an idea. |

SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) is a procedure helps to improve the visitor flow and therby profitability of the company. Organic SEO tends to rely on unique, target oriented content and improved tags + link building etc. which the SE spider must crawl in order to rank you higher. The PPC places you as per you pay for the clicks you have. My explanations to all above is just to suggest that If you want quick results go for PPC. Please correct me if I m wrong |

Can your site get ranked when it is 'https' and not 'http'? Doesn't that mean it's a secure server so engines won't be able to access it? Forgive me if I'm wrong. I'm very new to this as well.

Are there any "quick and easy" tricks that truly work for any other aspect of your business? My guess is there aren't many. SEO is like anything else in life that requires hard work along with time and patience. If you're looking for a quick fix I can't help. If you're looking for instant listings you might try PPC as mentioned here. If you pay enough you'll get the listings you want. The best quick and easy trick is to read the Nitty Gritty guide and start implementing some of the ideas in it.

no tricks when it comes to SEO .... at least the honest SEO (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/whitehat.gif)
not only do you want to read the links posted by the previous members that are within the forum, but check out a few books on the subject - well worth the investment. One I highly recommend is Shari Thurow's book - Search Engine Visibility - do a search on Shari Thurow, you'll get the site/book site. The other "tip" i would suggest is that you read each search engines' guide for webmasters, those will give you specifics for each search engine. |

I recommend: 1. read through the forums (as stated before) 2. learn about meta / title tags, links (external and internal), content, submission, list goes on... most importantly know it takes time! which none of us like, because time = money. I agree with juliesjewels about using PPC for your quick fix, thats how many small businesses stay alive. There is also a PPC optimization guide in this forum.
.... Whats kinda funny is that according to the Spell Check "SEO" is misspelled... (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/poster_oops.gif) |

In SEO we need to be patient. Quick fix, quick rank techniques are meant for short term success, if any. I'd say more than the thick books is the real world experience of optimizing pages. Of course, you are right, we all need these materials.

QUOTE(ReadyShoppingMall.com @ Mar 29 2006, 08:08 PM) Does anyone hear Internet Business Promoter (IBP) software before? It is a kind of SEO software. We've heard of all sorts of SEO software. Some of it has some useful reporting and analysis features, but none of it is a good substitute for using your own eyes and brain. The best SEO software on the planet is generally found between your ears (and it's free!). --Torka (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/mf_prop.gif) |

I tested IBP8 and found it to be really no different then any other "automatic submission" service. The only feature I really did enjoy was their "link popularity" tool which searched websites based on certain keywords. The software takes you directly to the "add your url" page and fills in all the required fields automatically. However the websites gathered weren't that great- in terms of linking to a good site that could help boost your natural positions. Another shortcut to increase your search engine visibility that doesn’t really work
