MSNSearch's weblog (http://blogs.msdn.com/msnsearch/archive/2005/06/24/432439.aspx) explains the operators they are offering and they look really useful.
Particularly, I was struck by the linkdomain: command - I've only run one test on it, but gee, I found backlinks I didn't know about for the site! (OK, that means they aren't supplying traffic, but for interest! Wow!)

Yeah, it's nice to see MSN adding in some of those advanced operators isn't it?

I think they still have some work to do on them though. I actually get more backlinks using their link: command, which should show links to a specific page, than I do with the linkdomain: command. That should be the other way around since I know the sites I checked have numerous deep backlinks.

Are you seeing the same thing Lea or is it just me?

Oh, I am too (I didn't have much time to play around last night, I was just struck by seeing a bunch of different backlinks - foolish of me, really, one should expect a different engine to show different backlinks (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) )
I also note that they share the problem Google has of claiming n0,000 links, but when you reach the last page you find its only really m00 links (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (ie the initial estimate is way out.) I hate that.

I think that command can show almost backlinks without screening. The number of results are greater than both Yahoo and Google. I have noticed that right now Google has changed frequently in the result especially competitive keywords.

I get a less backlinks on linkdomain.

MSN shows more links for me than Yahoo or Google.

Good info though.
