(IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/pr.gif) Yes this appears to be the case is the dreaded toolbar gone forever. (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/pr.gif) (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif) No more selling of PR based links (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/appl.gif) Let's get back to links because they are relevant.

Hope, the last thing to come out of Pandoras box. They are still showing a PR on the Google directory though (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Honestly, you lot are so PRist, I get a lovely warm feeling when I manage to persuade a webmaster with a high PR site including content relevant to my own to add a nice key word descriptive link to my site.

I don't want to lose that feeling, leave PR alone you miserable lot. (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/pr.gif)

The API is still retuning PR, at least on the DP tool, and I'm seeing significant drops on a number sites -- drops from 5 to 1, for example.

I'd much rather see PR vanish forever than see them recalibrate things like that. I'd be fine with PageRank, or Trust Rank, or whatever remaining a part of the algo but have the number (or even an estimate of that number) kept under wraps.

At least we've still got Alexa rank. There's still highly useful, objective data out there that we can use to judge the value of a site in absolute terms (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/naughty.gif)

I've heard that Alexa rank is just what people who have downloaded their toolbar visit, so it's not really relevant. On a personal note, my stats quadrupled and Alexa said I had lost 500,000 in rank.....does not compute.

Wow, nothing has any page rank on my google toolbar, not even google. Kind of feels like the twilight zone.

Like I said in that other Google update thread, I'm convinced that it's all a CIA plot.

Has anybody seen Ian lately?

'facetious' one of a hanful of words that uses the vowels in the correct order <boring OWG fact>

Google are breaking all the poormans SEO tools one by one. What now for all those 'PR7 page links available $150 per month' adverts (IMG:http://www.highrankings.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

They can still make that claim. After all, how are you going to prove those pages aren't PR7?

In fact, that gives me an idea. Since my pages are all PR48, I really ought to think about selling links...

Yes, qwerty is still being facetious. He has a ton of work to catch up on and he isn't in the mood
