Google Cache Options

I was hoping someone may be able to shed some light as to why a certain section of a cached page in Google remains free of highlighted keywords. On the cached G page, all instances of keyword Cedar chest, Cedar, and Chest are highlighted as they should be, with the exception of the individual products listed on that page. It's as if G doesn't recognize them. I've attached a screen shot of the page. You can find the instances of keywords that i'm talking about with a red box around them. Does anyone know what causes this? And if so, does this inhibit higher rank for the page in question? Thanks in advance.

Those words are also links to other pages. I'm thinking that maybe affecting it somehow. But the engine would read those words as well...

Right, but any instance of cedar or chest on the left nav is highlighted..

The only <form> i see is for the search function in the top left corner. the tag is closed well before any of the product code. other than that, no <form>'s

Could i be missing something?

I'm guiessing that the pictures and links at the bottom is generated by a asp / php or some other application script in order to do page counts and siplays etc based on a browser and thus when the bot comes along since it is not executing in a browser skips over it?

Right, it is being skipped over.. but for what reason, i don't know. I have seen other pages using the same software that do not have this problem. The table is being pulled from the DB correctly here, but for some reason the bot refuses to read over the information. I am guessing that there has to be something in this code that forces the skip to occurr. Randy mentioned above that this particular code could be inside a <form>. It's not, but i'm thinkin Randy is on the right track. Even though it's not a <form> that is the problem, i believe it may be something similiar. I found this comment tag before the table:

Would that force the spider to skip what's in the table that follows? I'm thoroughly confused on this one.

The highlighter tool has nothing to do with what Google actually spiders, so I wouldn't worry about it. Once has nothing to do with the other.

You say the highlighter tool has nothing to do with what it spiders, and i agree. But that's the thing. I'm not using the highlighter tool. When i run this search in Google and navigate to the mentioned page, if i use the highlighter tool, it highlights evey mention of the keywords(even the ones not highlighted in cached page).

It's the cached page in which the keywords seem to be highlighted regardless of whether i use the highlighter tool or not, that omits these select mentions of the keywords. So i guess i'm asking you now, in the cached page.. the keywords highlighted, is that just the highlighter tool being automatically used? or is it something different. The other thing is.. in other sections of this website, the cached version of certain category pages don't even show the product listings at all.. So in these cases it's not just a matter of words being highlighted.. The product listings aren't even there to be highlighted.

For me, the cache date is November 30 and I see those terms highlighted in the cache.

To put a visual to what i mean.. image attached. The bottom screen shot is a cached version of a category page, the top picture is the actual version of the category page. The cached version shows no mention of products anywhere on the page.

Just trying a guess here, not knowing if that would matter if the entire site is secure server?

Alan, I am still seeing it (cached Nov. 30), and i've noticed it's a problem with just about every page on the site that has product lisitings. As the images i attached just recently above show, the cached versions of these pages sometimes even show no products at all..

Just in case anyone cares, or may have this problem in the future..

I think i found the culprit. This table being pulled from the DB is placed inside a <noscript> and then after the </noscript> the exact same table is populated inside of a <script>, which is then closed by a </script>. I'm thinking search engines aren't very fond of the <noscript> tag as it can be, and is abused often.. I do not own this website nor did i develop it or do any SEO work on it, FYI.. So i have not been able to test this fix. I was asked to take a look and see what might be causing this hiccup.. I won't know for sure that this is the problem until they take this code out, and the pages in question are re-spidered. Anyway, thanks to anyone who made suggestions.. It is always appreciated.
