- There will be no badmouthing any member of this forum or any member of any other forum.
(Badmouthing other forums, sites, companies in general, is not allowed.) - Public posts questioning any moderator/administrator's ability to moderate will be edited and/or removed without notice.
- Any member who has a problem or issue with any moderator, administrator or forum member should privately message an administrator.
- Do not post threads asking if a certain software or company is good or bad. You may discuss the type of company or software without using their specific name. Badmouthing any company or software is strictly prohibited. Posts that don't conform to this will be edited or deleted without notice.
Signatures
Please note that all signatures at this forum cannot be seen by search engines as only logged in members can see them. If you're only interested in registering so that you can get a link, you're at the wrong forum. - You may put up to two short lines and two links in your signature.
- You may not have 2 links pointing to the same URL.
- You may not adjust the font or size of your signature.
- No graphics are allowed in signatures.
- An administrator will delete or edit signatures that don't conform, without notice.
- The administrators may delete or edit any signature or link that they deem inappropriate for the forum, for any reason whatsoever. (Some sigs that may be removed include links to gambling sites, pornography sites and sites we deem to be promoting the spamming of search engines.)
If a signature has to be edited more than once for any reason, it will then be deleted without notice and the member will lose the opportunity to have a signature for an unspecified period of time.
Linking in Posts - This forum is not a place to announce your new site or directory, nor those of your friends.
- You must be an Active Member for at least 1 month to post a live link to another site. (Post without the http:// to post a link that is not live.) Live links will be deactivated or removed completely when posted by non-active members and sometimes by Active Members (at the moderators' discretion).
- You may post links only where appropriate to the subject at hand.
- Please refrain from posting self-promotional links of any kind. When in doubt about a link, make it non-clickable. Very often there's no need to link to your own site, when a summary of what you're linking to will suffice and add more value to the forum thread.
- Links to sites that you think may be spamming the search engines (or using any practice that you may think is dodgy) should not be posted (nor should the name of the company or site).
These will be immediately deleted without notice. You may instead post the specific technique that you think might be spam, and why you think it is against search engine guidelines. You may take private requests for the URL, if you'd like. - Moderators may delink or remove any links at any time if they feel it is in the best interest of the forum to do so. Please do not post publicly asking where your post or link disappeared to if this happens. Always private message a moderator or administrator instead.
- Affiliate links other than official High Rankings affiliate links may not ever be posted either in the body of a post or a signature.
- From time to time an administrator may post affiliate links to help cover the costs of the forum. These may or may not be labeled as such.
Site Review Requests - Site reviews are intended for truly active members of our High Rankings community. Not every site is entitled to a site review.
- You must be an Active Member for at least one month to request a site review.
- You must read and answer the questions in the pinned thread in the review forum.
- If you attempt to post a site review in a category other than the official Web Site Review category, it will be removed without notice. (Please note that if you simply post a number of me-too and thanks type of posts in order to get your post count high enough to be an Active Member, your site review request will be removed.)
- We may remove threads requesting site reviews at our discretion and without notice. (Some review requests that may be removed include those for gambling sites, pornography sites and sites we deem to be promoting the spamming of search engines.)
- Only one site review request for each forum member, please.
Copyright Violations - Please don't post the full text of an email or an article, or post from another forum. You may summarize it in your own words and/or post a link to it, if it is relevant to the discussion (and you are an active member).
- Anything posted in full that you did not write yourself will be deleted without notice.
The full text of articles may never be posted, even if you wrote it yourself.
