This is not bad from a general writing standpoint, but it lacks a lot when it comes to actually making the sale. While the information is good, there's no direction or goal for the page.
For example, the index page gives great facts, and even a little emotional appeal, but it does not lead toward the sale or even ask for the sale. It reads more like an About Us page I think. I'd be interested to know their current conversion ratio (uniques : sales please, not hits : sales).
The same with the other pages. Great info, but really just a list of well-written facts. Nothing to actually make we *want* to buy the chairs.
Also, if SEO is a priority (and I take it that it is or they wouldn't have come to you) the copy will most definately need work. The current copy will do nothing to help you support the keyphrases you mentioned.
