Greetings!

Recently I've noticed that depending on where you are located the results which Yahoo unveils on the same keyphrases are different.

Example: for a keyphrase used in Los Angeles my site is on 18th position. For the same keyphrase used in Moscow my site is on 8th position.

How this can be explained?

Thanks

Always has been this way, also you get different results for a world wide search on a local version. IE if you carry out a search for 'widgets' on Yahoo.co.uk 'worldwide' you get different results from a worldwide search for 'widgets' at yahoo.com.

But I didn't use local search.

The results were obtained using Yahoo.com, but from different locations.

That has always been the case, the search engines run searches via different data centres, which can give different results as they hold data at varying stages of update.

I have a client in London who sees different results to those I see here in his sector. Have you tried proxy surfing from the locations to see if it is being geo delivered or not?

I'm not so skilled in all this.

If you help me telling how I can surf via proxy, it would be very nice. What to use?
