Seminar In Tampa
Posted 19 September 2003 - 07:03 AM
From what I've read of posts in the Copywriting Area of this forum, the majority of you are already WELL aware of the basics of copywriting... strong headline, how to build body copy, call-to-action, etc., etc.
At the seminar in Tampa, I have several "little discussed" things about copywriting and SEO copywriting planned to share with you. But I am curious to know if you have specific things you'd like to see discussed.
If so, let me know what they are and I'll do my best to fit them in.

If you don't come to the seminar, well, you must certainly have a screw loose somewhere!

Besides, Scottie's like me, she can't do anything unless the deadline is RIGHT NOW!

Right Scottie - That's the reason isn't it?
Karon - Have we made you feel guilty yet?

You guys are a trip. And I'll have you know that I DO play. Granted, I'm a workaholic, but just yesterday I took about 1/2 the day off to go shopping so I'm not completely hopeless.

That is absolutely correct.
Actually Scottie and I have purposely NOT done our briefings yet because we want to be sure we have the latest and greatest information. The search engine industry changes daily. If we did our presentations this early, they would be out of date by Nov 7th.

Karon, what I would like to see is some instruction on writing with a marketing "slant," while still adhering to good SEO practices. My experience is with business-to-business sites rather than those trying to sell to the general public, and I imagine the rules are quite different. For example, I know what a "call to action" is, but not how to write an effective one.
Writing is not my problem, but I am a total newbie when it comes to marketing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :tooth:

My mom found a picture that had the following on it. She almost bought it for me.
If the shoe fits, buy one pair in every color!
As for the info you requested, Bill, I think you will find some enlightenment with what I have planned. If you don't, you can sit by me at lunch and we'll talk!
