We've surpassed the 10,000 post mark every one. Way to go! Not bad for just a few months.

What's are anniversary date anyway? Scottie do you remember?

I think the forum was started around the 21st or 22nd of July, so we hit 10k in less than two months.

Hmm...well, I have over 1/10 of them. Scottie has nearly a tenth, and the Bobs have over 1/10 if you put them together...

There's no comparison between our Bobs and The Bobs in Office Space.

Is it just me, or is it getting cooler in the evenings...?

Congrats on 10,000 posts!

I noticed that it was creeping close to that last night and tried to stay awake long enough to see if I could do post #10,000, but just couldn't!

It looks like you did, Jill.

I think it was the post you started with: "I think it's fine to email the person after they tell you you didn't get the job to ask why."

How can you tell which post it was? (And why am I not surprised that it was me? :aloha: )

BTW, I have a feeling Scottie may be caught in the hurricane that is hitting parts of the East Coast. Her email is bouncing and I haven't seen her online all afternoon and evening. I believe Debra may be getting it also.

I think they're both pretty far south from where it hit land, so hopefully all they experienced was a power outage.

<added> My mistake -- Debra's in Virginia. I don't know what they're dealing with there.

Quite likely Jill. I "spoke" with Debra via email a couple of times on the 16th and they were already making preparations for the storms. Hopefully things turn out okay for all of the folks along the coast. Last I heard N. Carolina was getting hit the hardest, but it's moving northward tonght.

Judging from what I'm seeing in my server logs, there must be a lot of people without power. I'm seeing significantly more than the normal volume of email being bounced/delayed on my end because of the inability to locate the recipients server. Every one of those I've checked so far was headed to facilities in either N. Carolina or Virginia.

If you click the quote button on a post, the URL includes that post number. I then changed it to 10000 to see what post it quoted.

I hope everyone's staying safe out east. Hold onto something heavy.

Congrats Denyse! :manybounce: I'll have a white wine, thanks. :propeller:

Ed- too cool! I never noticed that post # thing.

Jill- I count your "joined" date as the birthday of the forum, although we didn't really invite anyone for a few days while we did some configuration and stuff. I think July 24 was when we started pulling in mods and July 30 was the announcement in the newsletter.
