Hi Bob,

just read #7 & #8.

Ok I read it, but I don't see why it would matter to them and why in the world they would want to terminate the agreement with me for having told you and the 800 members of the forum about it.

The entire document has obviously been written by a lawyer and if you read every word of every agreement you would probably never conclude any deal. (This may be the start of an interesting thread on lawyer bashing.)

But what possible harm can it do Google for you and I to compare actual CTRs?

This is kind of like a corporation trying to stop employees from comparing salaries. It just can't be done.

Bob-

Remind me never to enter into an agreement with you! If you don't agree to the terms, don't do business with them. It's that easy.

They don't have to explain to you why they don't want you to do that- those are their terms of service. You don't like 'em, then terminate your agreement. Pretty simple.

<edited personal attack> Nobody ever reads every word of these agreement terms. They just click on the "yes I agree" button and move on.

But think about it. What is substantially different between you telling me that you are getting a good or satisfactory or terrible or unsatisfactory CTR and you telling me the actual percentage?

Here is a suggestion. Please write Google right away and tell them I announced my CTR rates to 800 plus people on this forum. I'm not kidding do it! And I'll let you know the second they suspend my accounts. This is crap and to be bound by this is ridiculous. My CTRs is my business. I can share it with whomsoever I want. And if they don't like it they can look elsewhere for business.

Bob - i do have to take an issue with you on this.

It is Google's terms of service for giving you money. In that respect, I would think you would be interested in reading the terms of that contract in that it is critical for you to understand what is expected of you and of them. For you to carelessly agree to a contract without research does not indemnify you breaking it through ignorance of the terms.

It is just funny how people will glady accept the money from Google's Adsense program, but but not care to take the responsibility that comes with this type of arrangement. Especially when there is money involved i would think a person would take the time and read the understand with which the money comes.

Because a person complies to a contract, that's being righteous? I hope so, as that's the type of person I would want to do business with.; one who respects a contract and the business relationship.
