Having read the term 'vertical search' a few times recently, I wanted to clarify my understanding of exactly what it is, and how it affects the way I should seo my sites.
I came accross this article [http://www.traffick....000-vearch.asp] which is old and satirical (gotta love that combo), but actually gave me an idea of what vertical search is all about - refining search results to produce less (total), but more relevant matches.
Would anyone like to give a better definition?
How (if at all) does this affect your SEO efforts? The most obvious example I can think of is focussing on localised terms like 'my business keywords in Nottingham' - but how do you do this for a national/ international site?
