Actually... back to my idea about a collection. You know, there's about 800 people on this forum. If only 1/2 would give $1.00 each to the Send Bill To Tampa Fund, he'd only have to pay $50 plus hotel room.
Heck... I'll give you $5 Bill.
Sure they'll be regular coffee - and Cokes, and juice and other stuff.

Or what we could do is take up a collection and split it with everyone who makes their need known.

1. An administrator.
2. Government licensing.
3. Non-profit filings.
4. An accounting firm.
5. A funds distribution manager.
Let's see... did I leave anything out? Oh yeah! Money!!

Maybe I came on a little strong in my "poormouthing," as the locals around here would say. It's probably because I had just discovered that my oven had gone on the fritz, and the chicken breasts meant for supper were still stone cold. I had dollar signs dancing in my head from the prospect of having to replace the range.
I actually did find a cheaper flight, but it would require that I fly down a couple of days early, and then stay over for about a week to wait for the return flight. And that's not considering that the total one-way flight time is over 11 hours, since I would have to fly through Chicago (no kidding).
Maybe I'll keep looking.

I considered driving to Atlanta, then flying roundtrip from there for $150 on Airtran. Not sure if the special is still up on that flight or not- I decided that was too much driving for me and I avoid the ATL airport at any cost. But it's not a bad price.
Looking forward to meeting you!

If I run into any good prices I'll let you know. However, I don't think much will top the deal Scottie mentioned from Atlanta to Tampa if you feel like driving 4 hours to the airport and 4 hours home again.
Of course, that's better than 10 hours.

Another option to look into is flying to Orlando and driving to Tampa. Sometimes the deals to Orlando are better.

The Provincial flower of Ontario is the Trillium will that do?
Actually, Bob , I am partial to wildflowers. I think they are cheaper than roses, so you will have more money in the budget for my dressing room....
These grow in abundance in to park/bush behind my house. They are very beautiful in the early spring.
As far as a dressing room goes here is what I had in mind with a star just under the half moon .

Will I be lost after the first 30 mins? I'm not to quick on all this techno stuff, still learning my way around a computer, I was a late bloomer to the computer age.
I have been building my web page for almost two years and have steadily been improving, but lately things are starting to even out, so I'm trying to take the next steps needed for improvement but can't quite figure them out. Linda

Think about it!

Well, you've got that... I have a degree in Accounting (really!) so I'll volunteer to handle that part of the "scholarship foundation".
Sure! Let's see, if we're going to create a fund, we'll just need a few simple things.
4. An accounting firm.
Actually, if I could afford to go (not an option right now, various reasons), I'd volunteer to swing by Newberry and pick Bill up on my way down. As a graduate of Newberry College, I certainly know how to find the town. And the drive to Tampa is pretty much a piece of cake.
I once did the Tampa drive round-trip from/to Columbia with no sleep (well, I did stop for an hour or two in the rest stop nearest Jacksonville on the way back... but mostly just made it on willpower and caffeine). Of course, the reason I did it was because I went down to attend a Monkees concert (you knew I'd work a mention of them in here somehow ) -- left after work on a Friday night, attended the show on Saturday afternoon, and was back home on Sunday morning in time to get a good long sleep before work on Monday.
Man, I used to be crazy. Good thing I'm all responsible now.

Not-to-mention, we'll all have time for questions and answers so you can ask about anything that needs clarification.
Yes, Scottie... when we did altanta in May, it took me 4 hours and 10 minutes exactly to get to and home from Atlanta. I'm not the Roadrunner, but I don't poke around on the interstate either. I only made one pit stop each way, too.
Keep in mind, you're about an hour away from me so that may be why it's 4 hours for me and 3 hours for you.
It would be a pain to have to drive 3 or 4 hours, hang out at the airport 3 or 4 hours, fly 3 hours to Tampa and then repeat it all on the way home.
Torka, I can't believe you did Columbia to Tampa (and vise versa) with no sleep. Geezz! I'm not a driving girl. If it's over about 5 hours, I'm flying!
