Quick point - you don't include a $-sign next to your prices. If you sell across the world, people will want to know what currency the prices are in - and it helps the user orientate him/herself.

Other than that, I got distracted...might buy the wife a present.

Hello all... Been awhile. Lots of changes over the years. Some good, some not, but things are going well.

I wanted to thank all of you for the suggestions along the way. It truly was a huge help and still is as we continue this site.

We have added allot of new features since last round. Some in the display department, some in the customer department and I hope a much easier to navigate site that isnt a nuisance to the shopper.

The demograph has remained about 50/50 as far as women and men purchasing.

If you have the time, id sure love to to once again hear your views on the site as it exists today.

Thank you

On the home page: I am curious if you have tried putting the images at the top of the page (preferrably inline with text), instead of at the bottom of the page and compared the bounce & conversion rates? The reason I ask is because your target market is looking for visual stimulation yet the first thing you give them is bunch of text. I'm on a 1024x768 screen size and all I see is text.

Thank you blue for your comment.

Ive done both ...but the i began to rise in the engines better with the text up higher. Perhaps now I can drop it down, but im afraid too. We have had such a battle with Google.

I do see what you mean though and i did a few months ago have it the other way. Some text, then a picture, etc.... We haven't noticed sales really changing either way but perhaps my shift was premature, as i said it was done for the engines and that information came from MIVA experts and the google forum peeps.

We have had quite the battle with this system. With Miva being dynamic, we just couldn't get anywhere....Then we purchased a module ( which miva works on for all its parts) to make things appear static in nature..... it was with this, and more text higher up on the pages that seemed to have made the difference.

Now im a big fan of Jills Nitty Gritty book, it was one of the first things I purchased when I began and I know we aren't supposed to make a site for the engines but for our visitors...... so thats why im wondering Blue if it would be a good thing to do as you suggest and bring images up top again.

Or would hurt rankings?

After trying so many things in the past, ironically i was told that was also hurting my rankings, as in not trusting as we kept changing styles etc.... So basically ive been a nut case and have tried so many things. Currently we are a PR3, we were last month a PR4, so im unsure if that means anythuign in the scope of what ive done as going sour.

Anyways thanks again blue for you comment. If anyone else has any suggestions, or can elaborate the same sentiment as Blue has id love to hear from you

Thank you

Not so. The lingerie thread was started in 2004, it has the benefit of a few years of exposure. As for the telcom site, the truth is I am hard pressed to come up with new ideas that could improve the site dramatically.

Yes, that's what I had in mind. You will have to track the results to find out if my idea was a stack of garbage or not...

It appears to have improved things some, but its hard to tell in the large scale thus far. Seems Google didnt like it though, as it took me down from a pr4 to a pr3.

I am having such horrible times with Google. I have given them there sitemap.html, there sitemap.xml, etc.....and id say 75% of my site is in supplemental.

I so wish someone could figure this out as to why. No one seems to be able to figure it out.....

I visited your website and I thought I'd bring up a small issue:

There is a dead image that I ran across located at girlfriendslingerie.com/kamasutra.html. Now that I have looked at the site better this image www.girlfriendslingerie.com/images/info.jpg (if this link gets deleted I'm sorry ahead of time. I tried to unlink it but was unable to) seems to be missing in several places on the website. I would just take a look at this. Other than that GREAT SITE and I love some of the items! sarcastic_blum.gif
