[Merged with the original review. - Jill]

Hello, Well lots of changes in the last month or so. Some may remember here, some may not, but in short the adult section we originaly had we decided to remove. My focus is on lingerie, contemporary clothing etc & didnt want to deviate away from that.

I know ive asked before, yet here i am again, I value all your opinions here , so I hope you can take a look and give me your thoughts.. Thank you

General
The general look is completed, unless your thoughts here dictate anotehr change. New products added all the time.

If completed:
How long has the site been up?

1) 4-5 months now

SEO
Do you have incoming links?

1) YES

What keywords are you targeting?

1) Lingerie, Sexy lingerie, baby dolls and others based on overture and google call ups

Do you want your code reviewed for errors or improvements?

1) Yes for improvements and errors. Yet, my store is a Yahoo merchant store, so code is quite bulky and im dealing with pre formated settings. i am adding my own html to pages, yet Yahoo likes to alter them a bit.

Marketing
Who is your target audience? Think about:

1) Right now a younger to mid crowd. Thru surveys I run on site for demographing, and the requests for more contempory items, we will be adding more for the mid & up ages also

Gender

1) Male & Female

Nationality

1) All equak

Age Range

1) Per above, now for 18-40's---Will be expanding that range 40's + with more contemporary softer items

Income/Education level

1) We have items that range under $20.00 also, so in terms of income we have a good range.

The more you tell us about your target audience, the better. We don't know them- you do!

1) Target audience is for Women & Men who enjoy and wish to purchase Fine lingerie

Why is your site different from sites selling/offering similar info/goods/services? Why will someone want to do business you?

1) This is a huge market here. Seperating is tough. I hope that I will break away form the normal trend by adding such things as

1) My low price guarantee and to match prices with discount
2) By having a good return policy
3) By adding more items in the contemporary designs shortly. This I believe is one major way I will differ from the rest. No just risque lingerie, but a line of clothing that will appeal to many age groups.

What is the purpose of the site? (inform, sell, online community, support B&M business, contact info only, etc)

1) To sell products appealing to my target groups

Design
Do you want design suggestions?

1) Yes i do. And suggestions on better ways to appeal to the engines.

Again thank you so much for the past reviews and any future ones you may have.

oh an dJill, thanks for the Great Nitty Gritty Book....

Hopefully im doing ok by it...

A quick design tip: Link the thumbnail images on the product pages to the larger images. That's a pretty standard way to do that now.

With a really, really quick glance, I'm not seeing any focus on any specific keyword phrases on the home page.

It should be obvious (to the trained eye) what you're going for, but not stick out like a sore thumb. You seem to have gone underboard (if there's such a word) and have no focus at all as far as phrases go.

Choose 2 or 3 main phrases for that page and focus your copy around them.

I would say that you could really clean up your code. The basics even, all the font and size tags within the pages are huge. Incorporate a simple style sheet and replace those thousands of extra lines per page with one line in CSS. That may help speed up your pages slightly with a reduced page size and minimise your overall bandwidth ... thus saving some dollars on running costs.

Hello all.... Had to do something to get away from Yahoo . So, new site ,new host, new cart etc.

Just pressed the live button 2 days ago.

You all were so great in the past on suggestions and all, i couldnt wait to ask for a review.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

General
New products being added all the time. So its always in the works.?

If completed:
This new site has only been up for 2 days now

SEO
Yes, incoming links were established and maintained communications with recepricols during transistion

What keywords are you targeting?

Lingeie being the main key word. And a few others. Based on jills comments to me last time, i toned down the amount significantly

Do you want your code reviewed for errors or improvements?
Yes please

Marketing
Who is your target audience? Think about:- It used to be for a younger crowd. This time around we are addign a more contemporary line also, to target a wider crowd
Gender- Women & mens clothing
Nationality- none
Age Range- Hopefully I can reach a wider span. id say bracket now is 19-60 IMO

The more you tell us about your target audience, the better. We don't know them- you do!

Why is your site different from sites selling/offering similar info/goods/services? Why will someone want to do business you?

wide range of quality clothing , plus member benefits

What is the purpose of the site? (inform, sell, online community, support B&M business, contact info only, etc)

Sell high quality women and mens clothing

Design
Do you want design suggestions?

Yes please..

Thank you all for your time...

yahoo.gif I love the models!

Ahem..., I will have to stop back again... I did see a small serif font on the inner page 1 ... you are using small text right there, and it could stay consistent with the rest of the text (arial?) - easier to read, IMO.

Your shipping graphic at the bottom of the home page has large spaces between MC and UPS and no space between BizRate and Spyware. I can see you have a .gif on the left (creditcards.gif) and 2 clickable graphics next to them (shipping.jpg) and the aluria remote loading pic. I would do something with the alignment so the entire graphic area looks aligned under the 3 pictures above it. It seems at first glance to be a single graphic that is left aligned and not spaced equally. Large spaces or no spaces I would keep the spacing uniform. I like the site - nice job!

Thank you for the reviews. I changed the main page a bit, to fix the space problem.

Added a splash page. Primarily I did this, for 2 reasons. Too have a page in the root, for search engines ( iim thinking this is neccessary_ if not please explain ) and the main sfnt (miva store ) has dynamic content on it, such as ,shopping bag, and log in details. Therefore, if i just copied the html for the sfnt and placed that as the index.html (as i did once) i lost all the dynamic capabilities.

So hopefully, this was the right move.

I sure would appreciate any more thoughts anyone else may have.

This site has been one of my top reads for quite some time , thru jill nitty grittty I bought early last year, to the newsletters etc, I value all your opinions.

Bless,

Dan

Ok... I took a look around.. as far as content goes and placment.. hey, it's great. But as far as "look and feel".... hmm... heh, I'm not so sure. It doen't look very polished. If you're going to be a commerce site, and you may not like hearing this... but try for a type of look that Amazon and other big sites use. This is coming from someone who buys junk online all the time biggrin.gif This is all IMHO, so there ya go.

First off hello. its been awhile since i have written. I looked for my old review thread yet couldn't locate it, so my apologies to admin on that point.

Since the last post there have been allot of changes to the site. And i am hopeing that you can take a look at it and give me your thoughts.

Im looking for your thoughts on...

How it looks
Does it inspire a purchase?
Navigation
Load times

& whatever else seems warranted to mention

We have been up and down on sales for the last year.... We even had some issues wit the search engines due to a module misconfigured--- This is a miva store by the way

Our target audience has been between the ages of 19-45 it seems thus far. We will be adding more items soon to hopefully extend the reach to include a older class also.

Target phrase is many based on each pages titles and descriptions. Main target word on Home page is " Sexy Lingerie"

I look forward to any opinions anyone has. For those who viewed the site in the past, allot has changed.....It doesn't even look the same at all...

Thank you for your time

All the best to you and yours

Dan

Hello,

I don't have any need for lingerie, but from a strictly technical standpoint, I'd say that your site is attractive, well organized and easy to use.

From an SEO standpoint, I'm not going to offer any advice, because I'm still struggling with my own site and I don't trust my own advice.

This is the first time I've looked at your site and I like it. I didn't see it before when the adult section was included. Now it looks pleasant and "fun". Nice layout, I didn't have any trouble navigating it. I hope you do well with it. Good Luck! goodjob.gif
