Its just that 7/10 PR, but I guess I could get that another way for A LOT LESS.

I think this hyperlink will take you right to the section on the IRS site that discusses advertising related to a 501 c 6:

A PR 7 link is not worth $5,000, imo! But then I don't buy links, so what do I know?!

QUOTE
“White Hat” Search Engine Optimization Methods
We're proud Circle members of SEMPO, so we're not about to ruin our good reputation by using cloaking, keyword spamming and stuffing, or other non-standard methods of affecting search engine placement. We keep current on what is considered “safe”, as well as “aggressive” search engine optimization techniques.

Get off your high horse Jill on me not knowing how to "sell" people. I've got more than 25years "direct" selling to the public..... not internet, so get off that please.

That paragraph above is from a "board" member and on their SEO page of their site. If that's not misleading, someone please tell me what the word "misleading" means.

On that same darn page, this board member goes on to say that they are white hat, etc, but if their visitor wants to spam, they can refer them to spammers who will help them. That's real darn Professional. That paragraph above is insinuating that they have a good reputation they could not ruin as they are a "Proud Circle" member of SEMPO. What's that suppose to mean?

This group of "marketers" found a way to "use" people to promote themselves.

BTW, my definition of "white hat" does NOT include sending a website owner to a spammer to help them.

I'm not really expecting any response, but at least no one can say we didn't try!

I did email the same thing to Barbara and to Greg. I suppose if we don't hear anything, I could try emailing the rest of the board also.

Sounds like marketing, Doug. You should try it some time.

And I refer people who want to spam, to spammers all the time too.

Guess I should turn in my white hat to the IHY police?

I am going to take the unilateral decision to close this thread. Everyone is getting a bit hot, and I think this particular topic has run its course, with several competing discussions going on.

Everyone should still feel free to start a new thread on SEMPO about something specific, though.
