I've noticed that when yahoo! visits my site, it's looking for a robot.txt file constantly and coming up as an 404 error. Do you always need the robot.txt file even though you don't have anything you don't want indexed?

If you've got absolutely nothing you want to block from spiders, it's still a good idea to upload a blank robots.txt, if only to keep your error logs under control.
