Downloaded and tested MT, but it's perl script, I am looking for something in PHP4 and MySQL to which I am more comfortable.

Any recommendations with examples?

Thanks in advance.

I am not exactly clear what you are trying to do... save money by using a blog instead of developing a CMS? I doubt that would work well.

Why don't you just build your own content manager from the ground up? That way it will have all the features that you want. Rarely do commericial packages offer everything for a given situation.

pmachine.com - Covers your PHP4 and MySQL requirements.

It is a blogging program that works very well as a basic CMS. With your experience with PHP, you'll probably be able to work wonders with it. I've seen some fantastic implementations.
