Hi All:

My name is Trish Edwards and I am new to this group, and sort of new to the internet. I do not even know what some of your words mean, such as spiderable.

I paid someone $160.00 to build me a web page. I then went online and found groups and newsletters such as this one and realized my page is not what you call search engine friendly. After looking at some other pages I think mine looks amateur.

I started communicating with someone online who is in the business of designing web pages and search engine marketing. She gave me a quote to redesign my page and market it. The quote was much higher than I expected (after paying only $160. for the page). Of course you get what you pay for. I have no idea what would be a reasonable fee for this service.

I am asking this group for feedback regarding this issue, and any suggestions or advise would be appreciated. My page is www.edwardshealthconcepts.com.

Thank you,

Trish

Trish, the price for search engine optimization can vary greatly, but for a professional who knows what they're doing, you can certainly expect to pay thousands of dollars, and even more.

Your best bet is to read through this forum, plus my Newsletter Archives and articles, and start learning what it takes to market a site. It's really not hard, but starting from the beginning, you'll have a lot to learn.

If you have more time than money, spend a good few months just reading, reading, reading. Then get out there and do what it takes!

If you have the money, then hire a reputablel professional SEO company. You might check out SEO Consultants: http://www.seoconsultants.com to find a reputable company.

Good luck!

Jill
