How To Promote A New Forums Site

Hello All

I have launched a new forum site www.go4expert.com and I would like to make it famous. I have applied some of SEO technique and would do it as continous process and right now I am concentrating on marketing and promoting.

For the purpose of promoting what I have done is started a contest like the most active user of the week and most active user of the month wins a free banner on each page.

I have ideas like Most referrer also wins something at later stages but would like to know from the other people what are best promotion techniques as for me now.

I am not planning to spend anything on promoting it and if I think google adwords is the one I think the best.
