I haven't had any experience with them. I poked around the site a bit and the general principal seems fine to me. A few things I'd check out before trying the program, however:

1) Try to somehow verify that all of their databases are completely confirmed, opt-in. Theoretical "safelists" get a thumbs down from me as well as any lists where the publishers have not confirmed acceptance of unsolicited articles.

2) Check out the general quality of authors/articles to see if you are comfortable being in their company, so to speak.

3) Contact a few of the authors who seem to have the best quality articles to get their opinions of the service.

I agree wholeheartedly with rohgan03! And the price is very reasonable.

Thank you very kindly.

For those looking to get a snap shot of Karon's service (which looks like a great fit to me)...it's $50 for submission to a list of 6000+ publishers.

Thanks again!

Just a note- make sure your article is reprint-worthy before submitting it. I have some articles that I put through Karon's submitting service that garner tons of reprints and some that only turn up a few. In either case, it's worth it- it helps me to determine what topics people are most interested in as well.

A lot of it depends on the topic, and it's hard to say what the publishers are going to go for. Definitely keep the article to 1000 words or less, preferably 750 or so. Try to find fresh topics to write about that aren't repeats of lots of content already out there.

Yes!

Article use and SE rankings are much better when you are smart enough (or in my case - lucky enough :D ) to write a good, solid article on a topic that is both ( a ) in demand and ( b ) relatively hard to find. Several of my top keyword phrases go directly to specific articles on my site.

Also, if a stronger ranking site picks up the article, this can give you high ranking exposure under keywords you wouldn't be able to get on your own (not to mention incremental long term traffic).

Has anyone here submitted their articles to workz.com? (Jill, it appears that you used to, but not anymore).

I'm asking because their writer agreement seems to ask for exclusivity, but I see plenty of their contributing authors' articles on many, many other websites.

What's the deal with Workz.com?

Thanks,
Andrea

Andrea, is Workz even still pushing out new content?

Workz was actually the first place I was ever asked to write for, and I guess you could say I cut my teeth there! I wrote for them for a year or so, but they changed hands and stuff and I got busy with other things as well. I really didn't think they were still around any more though.

When I wrote for them, you didn't have to be exclusive at all, but that is probably different now if that's what they're agreement says.

This sounds like an excellent resource. I'm going to check it out. Guess I'll have to write a few articles as well.... lol.gif

If workz now requires exclusivity, IMO they should also be paying the writers. smile.gif Based on the "new this week" articles on their home page, looks like they are still doing fresh content.

Interesting how there's a mix of authors and treatments...staff writer, contributing author, and "titled" author. I counted six links back to author's site in one article. In another, a contributing author had no links and no resource box. Maybe it's all situational?

(I haven't dealt with them at all and have no idea what they do or don't do with respect to their authors...just interjecting a couple of general thoughts here.)

One thing that was good about Workz was that they syndicated the articles through some sort of feed. So your articles could end up all over the place.

Now that's cool. thumbup1.gif A lot of potential impact with (relatively) little effort there.

I submit my articles to over 100 web sites . It takes me a few hours but, it is worth it. I may share the list with a few or may sell them. These are my little gold mines. You can find them on your own if you search google
