The marketing VP here at work just routed a copy of the "Internet Marketing Report" (printed newsletter, published by "Progressive Business Publications").

Imagine my surprise as I skimmed through the newsletter to see a familiar name leap out at me!

The June 16th issue has an article on page 4, entitled "Protecting your site's content from unscrupulous competitors", which quotes extensively from "attorney and search engine specialist" (and forum moderator) Ian McAnerin. The source for the article is cited as "High Rankings® Advisor, No. 98, 5/19/04".

It's unlikely I would have known about it, either, if the Marketing VP hadn't routed the newsletter to me, as it's print-only. (These days, if it doesn't exist online, I probably don't know about it... )

I can't imagine myself subscribing to this on my own. The subscription is $300 a year -- it's a good resource, but a little too rich for my blood! :doh:

I think I know of that one. They once did an interview with me that made a cover story. I too wondered who actually would buy it! It had some good info in it, but seems to me you can get similar stuff for free online. Guess it's for those who don't like to get stuff online and want someone to distill it for them.

Not sure if you'd get the previous issue or not Ian, but according to their site (http://www.pbp.com/imr.html) you can get two issues "risk free".

One would think they would send you a complimentary copy since you're quoted in their newsletter. Might want to ask them to see.
