There is a website I can pull up during the day when I am at work. In the evening when I am home I can no longer pull it up.
Here is the message I receive.....

While trying to retrieve the URL: www.icedoutgear.com/

The following error was encountered:

Connection Failed
The system returned:

(60) Operation timed out
The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

Your cache administrator is webmaster.

I know the site is not down because I am signed up as one of their affiliates and I have made some sales. I also went in a chat room and had someone pull it up...they did.

Any ideas what could be wrong. I went to my temp. files and deleted their cookie.

I need to see the site so I can work on my website.

Thanks for your help.

It's possible they've changed their IP address and your host's DNS hasn't picked it up yet. If that's the situation, it's probably just a matter of time before the change propagates over. How long have you had the problem?

Sometimes, you can get around something like this by adding (or editing, if it's already there) a line in your hosts file.

I'm not really sure how long it has been but I do know it has been several days since I noticed the problem.
So...should I just sit and wait and hope I will soon be able to pull up the site?

Thanks for helping!

Could be a routing problem as a result of your ISP - you may want to check with their technical support. Try doing a traceroute and as well, this may pinpont a problem.

Welcome porkchop !

Since the site comes up for others and for you when you're not at home, there's not a lot you can do save wait it out. I think Qwerty hit the nail on the head. Your home ISP needs to update their DNS cache. They don't do that on demand though. You can try asking them about it, but I rather doubt they'll d anything to help.

Could you tweak the hosts file on your computer to override everything and use a different DNS server? Sure. That may work if you absolutely have to have access from home.
