Search Engine Strategies 2004 Conference And Expo
Posted 15 June 2004 - 12:00 PM
I was wondering about this event. I don't know much about SEM conferences, and question wether they would be helpful for me at all. I know that Danny Sullivan (of Search Engine Watch fame) hosts it...
I work for a University developing a few different sites for them, and I've also been appointed to take charge of doing SEO for them. I'm not sure if they're interested in doing any marketing involving purchasing ads, or doing any kind of marketing at all for that matter (University administration is almost always 10 years behind on these kinds of things, plus I don't know if aggressive SEM would help a University at all to begin with).
So my question to all of you is, do you think it would be worth it for me to attend a conference like this?

In your position it may be a bit expensive and overkill. One of Jill's HighRankings conferences may be more suitable for you. Watch out for the next one.
