Anyone any idea when and where the next SEO event is in the UK?

I didn't find out about the last one in London until it was too late to do anything about it.

I'm curious about Florida or the Southeast US as well. London was obviously right out, though I was sorely tempted to pitch it to the boss!

There is also one scheduled for Toronto, Ontario (a 3 day event) scheduled for 2005. I believe it's in mid May.

Jill's next High Rankings® Seminar is scheduled for September in Boston but the exact details aren't finalized yet.

I'll be having a website basics seminar in Orlando in November that will cover SEO but is aimed more at DIY small biz webmasters.

hmm...I'm pitching SES San Jose to the boss, at least for a couple of us.

The other two are interesting as well (and closer!) though not sure how much we'd get from the small biz DIY conference. (other than the obvious warm fuzzy I get from gracing people with my presence, that is! :D )

Is it just me, or is it getting cooler in the evenings...?

In the closing comments at SES London, I'm pretty sure they said that they've decided to extend the SES London event to 3 days.

Can someone explain to me why Jupiter schedules their San Jose conference during the hottest month of the year and their Chicago and NY conferences during the dead of Winter? :(

Good point, Jill, and one I hadn't considered. I figured they were just out to get me. :aloha:

I'm sure that says something about the SEO community, but am less sure what. Either SEOers are so hard-core they'll willing brave the elements, or the industry is still too young to support a "peak season" conference. Sadly, the first rationalization doesn't apply to me. I'm holding out for Maui in June or maybe Vegas in February.

We actually don't get out of the hotel bar much, so it really doesn't matter what the weather is around us. That's pretty much the SEO crowd!

Yes- the date is Tuesday, November 16. Probably 9-5, we are still nailing down the details and finalizing the location, hotel rooms, etc.

It's actually something Lee and I are working on to target the IAPPA convention-goers but the information will be applicable to any web business.

It's going to be basic usability/marketing info- this is not a seminar for web professionals. It's also not about how to build a website but it is about how to effectively market your site.

As we get the details done and registration ready, I'll be promoting it in my newsletter. :)
