If I have links to
www.domain.com/page.asp
and
www.domain.com/page.asp? (the only difference being the "?")
within my site (I won't trouble you with why this might be the case!) would the major Search Engines consider these URLs to be for 2 distinct pages and therefore potentially dilute the rankings for this page, or will they assume that as there's nothing after the "?" it's the same page?
Any advice, thoughts etc. would be appreciated
Cheers
Timbers

Hi Timbers,
Yes, it's possible that both pages could get indexed. However, generally only one of them will start to show up in the rankings since they are duplicates.
Having them both get indexed can definitely dilute your PageRank or link popularity to the main URL, however. You'll notice that both urls will end up with some PageRank, according to the Google toolbar.
