My /links.html and /summer2004.htm pages are first and second ranking in Yahoo, but my home page is not listed at all(both of those pages have links to my home page).
My home page has been first place in Google since the day after I submitted it and has been first in msn.ca for a long time(still is first in both), but is not listed in msn.com(I think it was for one day when I checked) It is a Canadian site(.ca) but msn.com listed sites for my search terms that are .ca, .com and .uk all which have links to my site.
I've never been listed by Altavista.
The url for our club is the city name with the sport name, so really there should be no other site more relavent when I search for the city name and the sport.
Anyone have any ideas

Welcome bassplayer!
Is your site listed in the Yahoo! Directory? Is so, Yahoo uses the directory title and description in relation to your home page so it may not show up in place of a more relevant inner page when a search query is conducted.
If it is not in the directory, have you searched for a phrase or even a snippet of text from your home page to see if it shows?

My site is not listed in the Yahoo directory - I can't remember if I submitted it there, but I read a post here asking if they should remove their listing from there. Should I submit it there?
Some of the phrases in the body together with the 2 search words bring up the home page, but intitle: and inurl: and site: do not.
I'm in the Yahoo Yellowpages but I can't see it now it says "are experiencing temporary data retrieval issues" They had my club listed twice(once with my home phone number which I had given to one of the direcory sites - then I started receiving calls at home and I emailed Yahoo and they changed it) but they hadn't added the website link like I requested when I emailed them about the error. But maybe they did it later - I haven't got a chance to check.
Thanks
