The Google Jibberish filter?
Personally it seems a little strange to me that by typing in a load of jibberish your pages are shown how they're going to rank.
IMO it just doesn't make sense.

I quite agree with you. There are many trying to extract what this gibberish actually accomplishes, and so far there have been no conclusive results. There are so many variables involved. What it does show is; it either filters or dampens some part of the algo changing the results. The why and what is still unanswered. IMHO it is wishful thinking for site owners whose sites move up to think these will be the future results. It would be wonderful if it were an indicator of on page factors, but I think that is an over simplified outlook.
