ITTAUTCABIEUHTTTBIEATT - I tend to avoid using those chat acronyms because I end up having to translate them back into English all the time

OK, OK... This one is real, but I don't know if I've got it right:

BCAK - Used by support people to indicate that the source of a problem is located Between the Chair And the Keyboard.

Close...

I used to work in tech support. We used PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair). Sounded a little nicer in our problem resolutions than saying "the user is an idiot".

Really? I'd never heard it before. I thought it was a Canadian thing. ;)

Well, if we're going to include this, we'd better also mention:

Zebra pages
> A doorway page by any other name, would still stink just as much...

PR is actually PageRank. Ranking or rank is the position in which a particular page appears on a SERP (that's defined on this page, right?). They're two separate things. PageRank is Google's calculation of the value of a page based on the links pointing to it. It's a factor in ranking, but it's not the same thing.

API is Application Program (or Programming) Interface. You can get a good definition of it at http://searchexchang...i213778,00.html

And KEI... I don't actually know what it stands for, but it's an attempt at working out the value of a keyword phrase based on a combination of the number of searches that are done for it and the number of pages that are optimized for it. FWIW (is that one in here too?) it's not a very useful figure. I just ignore it.
