Hi,
First of all let me say that I have been reading the posts here for quite a while and find everything to be really helpful. I am new to all this and as I saw quoted in another post "I know enough to be dangerous" I have done SEO on about 4 different sites with excellent results.....until now. A friend asked me to give him suggestions etc for his online shoe store. I gave him a few suggestions and we submitted the site to Google and others on 3/29/04. The site is now no where to be found on Google, even when the store name is entered. The site is done in ASP (which I am clueless about) I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not. Should I go ahead and resubmit it or just leave well enough alone? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Darby ;)

I would leave it alone. The site isn't indexed long and it could reappear soon.

Welcome Darby62! ;)

As David said, it is too new to worry about it. You should always give a new site at least a couple of months to get settled in to an index. Good luck with it!

Thank you for your replies, I will leave well enough alone and encourage this client to be patient. I suppose my main reason for concern was because the site was indexed about 5 or 6 months ago. It seemed like all of a sudden it just vanished.

If you want to do something now (and I well know that ichy hands feeling) I would begin link building. It will give you something productive to do and also give google and Yahoo a reason to visit more often.
