I just changed my IP and am curious if that will have any downside effects.

The reason I did this is because as a designer I have a variety of incoming links from IP's with the same A block. (I build the sites and host them on the same company box).

Recently, I had a significant drop in incoming links and page rank and I surmise it may have been because of the duplicate IP A blocks (even though they are unique) from many of the incoming links.

As a result, I have moved the site to a new box in the company with a different A block.

I am certainly curious as to what will ensue.

I know that if I was designing the <g> algo, I would not treat incoming links from the same A block as high as others to hinder abuse of the mini network tactics being employed.
