Hi all, I am in negotiations with a soon-to-be client, and they would like me to put together a simple contract for our agreement. I have only had a few freelance clients in the past, and never really needed to make one before. Anyone have/can point me to one I can rip off :)? I just need something that will help me outline my fee, expected work and so on... I would think a basic contract for any service would work for this. Anything you all could provide would be really appreciated.

Mel, could you send me a copy too? I may be needing it myself.

Thanks.

Hello All,

Here are some example SEO Contracts that might be useful. You can modify as necessary for your purposes.

Hello Mel,

That seems to be a God-sent. Would you mind PM that to me?

Thank you so much... and happy belated Thanksgiving to all Canadians out there, eh?

Cheers,

Lydia

Hello Lee,

I tried visiting the URL that you pointed out, but since the academy is "no more", I couldn't get to it. Do you know of any other URLs that amy have those samples in it?
Sorry to bother, but your feedback would be very much welcome.

God bless,

Lydia

Mm, I checked those links out and the Wayback Machine had the main page but none of the actual contracts! So that might not be too helpful. :(
I'm working on making the contract Mel so generously offered (I got it from qwerty and have had about 20 people ask me for it since) into a more general template, and I'll put that up on my site for people to reference. I might try to split out the industry-specific stuff-- I'm a copywriter, and webdesigners and SEOs as well as other copywriters have asked me for info about it, so if I could make something more generally usable, that might be more helpful.
I haven't started, though, so we'll see how far I can get before sleep catches up to me tonight!
Farther, if I stop commenting in here...

Really?
Links work fine for me. Here is a link to the agreement aggregated from the session: SEO Contract Example
