Personally, I like search engine watch very much and I refer to their site quite often. My opinion is that you should read the dates on the articles because some are a couple of years old. And if you have a question - post it here.

I do remember finding it after I logged in (wether it was from the members area or not I am not so sure). Like I said there were links to third party site articles also there that contained relevant information. Maybe it was from one of those links. Do you also check the sites that you link to?

And as far as French sites are concerned, I often check Abondance for the latest news about SEO and for more technical things, I visit a site (+forum a bit like this one) called Webrankinfo. It focuses mainly on Google and offers many tools that are Google-related.
With these four sites in my bookmarks I can have as much info and help as I need I especially like sites where people can interact and learn from eachother, such as the HighRanking forums
