We are moving our offices coming up in about two months. We are going to move our servers into our new data center then. If I have our servers offline for about three days and miss a google or other SE crawl are they likely to drop from the index? We are going to do our best to have the ISP have our T1 or whatever we end of up on be the time we get in but it might take some time to get everything back and running.
A little off of the SEO topic but it worries me.

You can temporarily get dropped, as G knows it's frustrating to searchers for a site on the SERPS to show up that actually isn't there.
But G also knows that sometimes servers go down or get overloaded and if it happens to be during the spider visit it would be unfair to the site in question to just delete it.
My understanding is that the site is pulled temporarily and scheduled for a re-visit. Only after multiple not-founds for a long period would a site get removed. But yes, you may find it removed from the SERPS (but not the index) for a short period.

Okay that doesn't sound to bad. I might setup a cheap third part host while we make the move and just forward the domain. That will give us enough time to get the servers back up and running on the new IP. The only problem is some of our pages are indexed by our dns servers address. I am working on removing any links to that address and deleted it so over time it should drop from the serps and let our domain name have the links.
