But that not withstanding we have all assured him that while the Word code may be ugly that that in itself should not cause the problem. We told him what we think is the likely problem -- he won't let us look at the page so that we might offer any more informed opinion -- and then he told us we were wrong. If he knows so much why did he ask the question in the first place?
Bob, his original question was about whether HTML generated by MS Word could have been the reason the site wasn't getting indexed. I was the one who raised the question of backlinks.
I suspect it was a trap simply to refute the backlinks claim that we all make.
Then to add insult to injury he tells us that he can't possible tell us what the URL is because we may all be spammers. If he is not prepared to give us enough information to make a really considered judgment, I think he has a hell of a nerve refuting our attempts to help him even though our hands tied.
