Congratulations Jill for being quoted in the Wall St. Journal again! For everyone who doesn't get the paper, the article is called "Some Web Sites Question Yahoo's 'Paid Inclusion' Plan."

As I was reading the article, I kept on thinking "this is what Jill has been saying about the Yahoo! program all along."

Great press!

I have an online subscription, so I'm pretty sure this link won't work for anyone else.

OOOOOOoooooo!!! I didn't even know!!!!

I'll see if da hubby will buy me a copy on the way home from work. Heck...maybe I'll even go out and see if I can find my own copy somewhere. Not sure if they sell such hi-brow stuff in Ashland though....

Is there much quoted from me, Andrea?

This forum is starting to worry me now. That is twice in less than a week people have mentioned the 'out' word :)

It's not extensive, like the last time. Weren't you even on the cover that time?

I'm sure they won't sue me for copyright infringement if I just reproduce the quote part of it here:

"Still, smaller Web-site operators may find the price -- as much as $49 a year for a single Web page, plus as much as 30 cents each time a user clicks on the participant's Web site -- too steep, given the uncertain payback. Jill Whalen, who runs a Web-marketing firm, says she has been advising her smaller clients not to participate. "I don't see any reason to do it," she says."

Let me know if you can't get the printed one. I've got it here (with a fat cat getting hair all over it.)

So the entire quote from Jill was "I don't see any reason to do it"?

They probably talked with you for 20 minutes and then whittled it all down to a Magic 8-Ball response :)

Still, if they ever felt like mentioning me, I don't think I'd mind...

Sorry but when I read that quot earlier on this song hit my mind, adn I been singing it all night.

Original lyrics courtesy of Grand master Flash & Melle Mel Ft furious 5 (I think)

Ticket to ride, internet highway
Tell all your friends, they can go my way
Pay your toll, sell your soul
Click for click costs more than gold
The longer you stay, the more you pay
your budget won't go a long way
Either 15c or 30 cent pain
With nothin to gain except killin? your brain

The money gets divided
The execs they get excited
Now I?m broke and it?s no joke
"I don't see any reason to do it"
So DON'T DO IT

I can just See our Jill up there on the stage with her bling, baggy trousers, male dancers etc

Grand Mistress Jill & her crew

See this is what happens when you go out, I just went out, I come back & my head is in another dimension. :)

Cool! We can perform that in Chicago next week!

:applause:

And yes, Bob, I did talk to that reporter for quite awhile. Maybe even close to an hour, but that's okay. She was friendly and we had a nice chat. I believe she mentioned she was pregnant. I also hooked her up with that vacuum guy she mentions in the article. He got a nice little write-up!
