Hi Gang,
I have a site that is ranked 7/10 at google. I would love to add a backlink/link page to this so I could get some new listed sites indexed. Problem is that I have permission to add a page but not forever (until someone complains).

Is it wrong to add a temporary page knowing it is only there to submit sites. Then after a month or so put it away.

Thanks,

Sean C.

Why not submit those sites to some directories for permanent links? or get some bloggers to mention them?

They will get spidered and indexed.

Makes sense...
I did plan on hitting Joeant and a few others I see posted here in the forums..

How quickly will Google come knocking at the directories???

My understanding is that they are crawling them every day. I do not know how extensively, but I would be surprised if a major directory listing didn't get you noticed by Google within a week these days.
