Hi All,
I am new to this forum. I am trying to get my company site www.segmenty.com on the search engines. The name SEGMENTY means segment in Polish. So whenever I type SEGMENTY all sorts of Polish sites come up but not my company site. As per my understanding since the search word exists in the URL my company site should be list higher in the search result.

Please advice me on the problem and a possible solution to this problem.

Your link will probably be removed soon by a Moderator of this forum because you are not allowed to post your site address until you've become an active member.

Anyway, that said, it takes (much) more than just a good title for your site to be ranked high. There are more important things you should keep in mind, like:
  • Your content: it needs to be descriptive and keyword rich. Per page of your site you can optimize three to four keyword sentences.
  • Incoming links: get a lot of incoming links from sites that actually have something to do with your business. Link popularity is important!
I would also advise you to read through some of the threads on this forum like this one. I think you'll get a good idea from that!

Good luck!

Welcome Nandan !

Is this a brand new web site? From what I'm seeing it appears to be, though the domain was purchased awhile ago.

Google.pl only has the main index page in its index thus far, so it doesn't look like Googlebot has performed a deep crawl of the site as yet. I also noticed that they report no other sites linking to your site.

My suggestion? Get a few other sites to link to yours, preferrably sites which already appear in the various search engines. That will not only help all of the search engines to find you, but also help to create more interest and trigger a deeper crawl of your site.

Then sit back and wait. It can take 6-8 weeks, once you have the basics covered, for a new site to settle in. As Dennis pointed out, if you want to rank decently well for the term "segmenty" it will need to appear on your web pages somewhere as well.

<edit - sheez...I can't seem to spell this morning. Maybe that's an omen that I should take the day off.>

Welcome Nandan!

It's really not your URL that will get you high rankings, you need to optimize your pages also.

Jill
