Hi everyone.

I'm new - happy to be here.

I'm trying to work out the value of a link from about.com - which has a Moz DA of 91/100 - the subdomain with a PA of 62/100. Is there anything I should consider?

Hope that's not too vague!

Thanks for reading.

In keeping with the initials ... the answer is FA.

In other words, don't waste your time with nonsense like Domain Authority and Page Authority.  These metrics are not used by major search engines like Bing and Google.

If you believe the link will create visibility for your site and help send you traffic then by all means do try to legitimately obtain such a link.  Don't worry about whether it will help with search engine referrals.

Trapezoidal link matriflux, sounds like the way to go ;)... is it true it was invented here in this forum? There are t-shirts selling on cafepress and now I kind of want one or at least the history of its "invention"

Yep, if memory serves, it was originally postulated by projectphp then refined, enhanced and marketed by Scottie, Jill et al.

Obviously a great branding and marketing job as it is still being talked about 10 - 12 years later, despite it being totally non-existent. :)

Thanks Michael - my question is framed really badly. This helps.
