Here a question on Google that I know involves a fairly common issue for new sites but I need to satisfy my curiosity.
I revamped my site in early June adding around 150 pages of new content (I used to have only 8!) and pieced together what I though was an effective internal linking structure. Relevant sub pages all linked to an on topic hub page and so on. I thought I did everything by the book and sat back niaively waiting for my new page rank of 10 to be confirmed by G.
Little did I know that G around this time was to undergo a change so radical as to turn upside down the world of many a seasoned seo. Despite one deep crawl recently it is generally accepted that the dance is dead and in its place will be lots of freshbot type regular updates.
Ive had some good placings for good KW since my revamp and my long standing external links are visible but my internal links are still not showing at all.
Ive read that you need possibly 2 deep crawls for internals to be picked up. Obviously weve only had one such crawl and may not see another for some time. Does this explain why NONE of my internal links are recognised by G? Or is there another reason for the links being ignored - am I actually expecting too much too soon?
Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi Morch:
If your site has a PR less than 4 your back links will not show, nor will the links from anyother sites with a PR of less than 4. I am also not sure that the toolbar and the PR database are up to date yet either, they seem to still have a few problems.
I am seeing regular visits from Googlebot (every other day or so) for the past few months and I think this is going to be the end of a single monthly crawl and update.
Checking your logs to see how often you are visited and how many pages are taken each time will give you some sense of what is going on.
IN the meantime, you can get the other 99% of your SEO work completed.

Try a Google search for
"www.mydomain.com" site:www.mydomain.com
This should list all the internal web pages that Google has in its database.
You can complement this by a search for
"www.mydomain.com" -site:www.mydomain.com
This shows all external web pages that link to your site independent of PageRank. Mel quite correctly said that link: only shows links with PR of 4 or over.

Thank you for your prompt replies
I wasnt aware that Google ignored links from sites of less than pr4 - my site is actually 3 right now so that explains a lot.
Back to the waiting game I suppose.

Welcome, Morch!
It takes many months for Google to index all your inner pages. Don't sweat it. Wait a few months and check back again.
BTW, Google really hasn't made any drastic changes, despite what you may hear elsewhere. They're simply fighting search engine spam. If people wouldn't spam them, they wouldn't have to change things every month.
